Welcome to the JSFOu web version

(Suomenkielinen verkkojulkaisu löytyy täältä.)

The Finno-Ugrian Society is one of the oldest and largest learned societies in Finland. Ever since its establishment in 1883, the Society has striven to advance research into the Uralic and so-called Altaic languages, the ethnography of their speakers, as well as the historical and pre-historical past of those that speak these languages.

Journal de la Société Finno-Ougrienne (Suomalais-Ugrilaisen Seuran Aikakauskirja) is an international journal published since 1886. In its present form, JSFOu is a peer-reviewed journal that appears approximately biennially. The electronic version of the Journal, introduced in 2008, provides free access to the whole content – the articles and scientific reports, as well as the annual reports and financial statements of the Finno-Ugrian Society – of the most recent issues 91–95.
