The archives of the Finno-Ugrian Society are deposited at the National Archives of Finland. Basic information about the collection is available through the Astia online catalogue (link here).
The Society also holds archival materials at the National Library of Finland. The Fellman Collection has likewise been deposited there. A detailed description of the collection is available in Sophie Capdeville's publication Le fonds Lapponica des Fellman (SUST 239). The collection is also catalogued in the HELKA database.
The materials may be consulted in the Special Collections Reading Room of the National Library of Finland.
Requesting Access to the Archives
Researchers wishing to consult the archives or collections of the Finno-Ugrian Society are requested to submit a written application containing the following information:

The title of the material as it appears in the Astia catalogue.

The archival reference code(s) (available through the Astia catalogue).

The purpose of the research, including a brief description of the project and the applicant's role or affiliation.

The applicant's contact details, academic degree(s), and institutional affiliation.
The more precisely the requested material is identified, the more efficiently the application can be processed.
Applications for access to the archives should be addressed to the Secretary or the Board of the Finno-Ugrian Society and submitted by email to sihteeri(a)sgr.fi.
Applications are accepted between 1 September and 30 April. Please note that archive access requests are not processed during the summer months.
